Can anyone help? I will get the sack if I can not pull this one off. Does anyone know how to do an advanced sort in Excel? I need to sort multiple catagory numbers and total them.

Can you give more of an explanation - including application (I assume excel), examples of the type of data you need sorting and what you need as an end result

Thanks Geoff! This is an excel application. We are compiling results of a questionaire. The answers to each question can be betwen 1 and 4. 1 being poor and 4 being excellent.

We need to create a graph which groups all the numbers together individually. For example, all of the 2s will be grouped together and then counted. We must also do this for the remaining numbers (1,3,4) We need to show how many of each answer is given and show the results in a chart.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Well, this souds like a prime candidate for a pivottable
If all your mumbers are whole numbers then just slap a pivot table on the whole lot of data
Put "Question" as the page field, Answer (1 to 4) as the ROW field and COUNT of Answer as the VALUE field
You can then show overall, how may 1s, 2s etc and by question - by using the drop down functionality on the page field
