I have a drop down list that I have been using but I need to add a few more choices. I have already selected all the choices for hundreds of cells and I do not want to redo them.

Is there a way to add to the list so the additional choices appear without having to redo all the cells?

Thanks,
Lewis

Have you tried it? Changing the Data Validation list won't affect existing entries ( if I've understood you correctly ).

Cheers, Glenn.

You need to add those extra cells to the Data Validation list criteria.

For example: you currently show cells $A$10:$A$20. Now you need to add through A30. You just change the $A$20 to $A$30.

Of course, that is if I understand your question correctly.

Hope it helps.

Or...

you ought to use Dynamic Named Ranges faq68-1331.

That way, you change (Add/Delete) the list and it "automatically" reflects in the DropDown.
