Excel 97 - language for spell checking

Installation has defaulted to US dictionary. How can I change to UK dictionary without reinstalling?

Open Word and change the spell check language there. All office applications that use spell checking basically use the spell checker from Word.

Thought of that. Word was already set to UK dictionary. Went through process of "changing" it - no difference.

This setting should be saved in your Normal.dot. The problem may be that your Normal.dot is corrupted.

You might want to rename your normal.dot, startup Word again, set the language, close down Word (this should save the setting to normal.dot), then startup Word again and check to see if the language setting has been accepted.
