I know there are other threads on this but it still is not resolving my issues and I have done all that has been mentioned via here and on the Microsoft forums... Any additional help will be greatly appreciated. We have Excel 2010 and we do use different operating systems as well.. This one issue is using XP and I have Win7 x64 and we both are using Excel 2010. The compile error in hidden module is with the deskUtil. I have looked for any pdfmaker.xla or pdfmaker.dot and no files exist and even under the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\XLSTART there's no files and in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\STARTUP there's no files.. same with these.. C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\Startup no files in here and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\XLSTART no files in there either.. Any other assistance would be great.. Thanks!

Sounds like it's caused by some custom code/addin.

But really, from what you say, it's very difficult to fully understand what you mean. You say you verified there are no addins of the certain 2 types you mentioned, but there are all sorts of addins.. why would it just be those two? For the actual problem, it could be the addin was built for an older version of Excel, and the references broke when opening via a newer version of Excel.

Hey kjv1611 thanks for the reply.. I have Win7 x64 and he has WinXP and I believe x64 too.. and we have the same version of Office 2010 for Excel... So not sure.. but the original file was created back in 2007.. Way before my time at this job and before the employee's time as well.. The person using this original document/file has only been with the company maybe a year and a half and I've only been here for about 4 months. I don't know what other suggestions to try...

Hey byndt, I will try that and let you know what happens thanks for the reply!!
