Excel 2007-Grouped items won't stay grouped when you move the object

I have a bar chart with inserted graphics. I have selected the chart and graphics that I want grouped. However, when I move the chart around on the page, the graphics don't move with it.

Actually, sometimes, when I first move the chart, everything moves with it, but if I move it again, then the graphics stop moving.

I have double-checked and ensured the items are grouped correctly.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
I've had the problem and found this solution: Before I insert the graphics, I make sure the chart is selected. If you insert the graphics without selecting the chart, the graphics seem to layer behind the chart no matter how you group them.
Try starting again, making sure you have the chart selected as you position the graphics.

Thanks it did work for when I moved the chart around on the page! The only thing it did not solve for is if I make the chart larger/smaller.

At least this will work for now, thanks so much for the advice!

It is not a grouped item.

You must select the CHART and then add your shape WITHIN the chart. The chart must be selected when you add the graphic!
