Excel 2003 olap cube error : Cube file could not be written

I have made many cubes, but I have been getting this error now. it does not seem to matter how much data I am trying to use. I have tries as little are 10 rows..

error:
Cube file could not be written. Edit the cube definition to try again. If updating the existing cube file, make sure that the file is not being used by Excel or some other application

Has anyone had this happen to them, how did you get around it? Thanks!

Hi,

What kind of database are querying?

Is that database/table tied up?

Can you access the data other than with your OLAP?

I am hitting an Oracle DB. I have created olap cube off this may times in the past. If I want to query small portions of data, I can still connect using Microsoft query, and export the data into excel without any issues.

When I try and create an olap cube, I am now getting this error:

Cube file could not be written. Edit the cube definition to try again. If updating the existing cube file, make sure that the file is not being used by Excel or some other application
