Excel 2002 - formatting cells 1

Hello,

I had a user call in and report that when he highlights a bunch of cells, right clicks and select Format Cells and tries to put a background color in, the color does not show up. I popped into tools - options - color tab and reset them but it did not solve the problem. I also ran a detect and repair after a reboot.

Has anyone seen this before??

Are the cell formatted with Conditional Formatting?

Conditional Formatting will override and manual formatting.
