I am using excel 2000, office 2000, and an HP Laserjet 400 printer. I am trying to print grey chracters, but they come out black. I´ve already tried modyfing many settings, but I can´t make my characters come out grey. I already checked, and I can print a grey box, for example, but not grey characters.
The help desk people here at work are not vey good...
Can anybody help me out there?

Thanks in advance.

Try cyan or some other color shade. Sometimes the specific printer driver converts your data stream.

I'm fairly certain that if you print a page with various colors your will find one that gives the desired grey characters.

Already tried printing in 25 different colours, but it doesn´t work.
It seems very strange to me that, using other prorgrams, not excel, the printer prints in grayscale no problem. It seems to be a problem with excel itself.

thanks for the help anyway!
