exceed won't connect to servers

My group supports 2000-3000 users, many of whom use Exceed 6.2 regularly. Suddenly and simultaneously, a dozen of them have started having the same problem. When they open Exceed and select on a server to connect to, after a long delay, it just returns to the list of servers again-no logon prompt. All users involved are using laptops, and the same model of nic. But, other users with the same hardware are not having the problem. In some cases, tweaking the display settings in Xconfig fixes it. In some cases, reinstalling Exceed fixes it. In some cases it just starts working by itself again. Any ideas on what could be causing this? What additional info would help? Thanks

Which Display setting need to be tweaked, I have tried re-installing this did not cure the prob.

I had the same problem. I upgraded to 7.0 and no problems since?? Good Luck.

Installed Exceed 7.11 on my desktop. Works fine. INstalled same version on my IBM A30, each time a Xwindow session is started I can't get a Telnet window, and connect closes after about 30sec.
