Hi:
I installed Version 7.0 of Exceed on Windows 2000, SP2. I did a Personal Install and took all of the defaults. Afterwards, I went into xconfig/Communication. I entered XDMCP-broadcast in the startup mode, then hit the configure button. When I started Exceed, a list of servers come up; however, when I choose the one that I want to logon to, nothing happens. Does anyone know if there is a problem with any specific services running on Windows 2000 that might adversely affect a login window from coming up.
I reinstalled Exceed about 4 times, to no avail. I also installed it on another Windows 2000 machine running SP2 and did the exact same configuration in config/Communications and I am able to get login screens from each server.
I turned the trace on and collected information; however in the Help panels, they tell you to use XDIS to disassemble the trace. However, unzipping the xdis.zip file only contains class files and .gif files. I see no executable files. When I click on Start/Programs/Hummingbird/Exceed/Tools/Xdis, nothing happens. Does anyone know how to invoke XDIS so that I can disassemble the trace file and possibly read it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
