Out put of show int s0 is

int s0 is down , Line protocal down down.Problem at which layer?.

Datalink
Physical .

I took it as physical .. Please let me know if am wrong ???

You are correct. The output shows status for layer 1 and 2. If the status said Serial S0 up and line protocol down, then you would have a layer 2 problem.
