everytime i start windows XP the mo

everytime i start windows XP the mouse doesn't work and i have to uninstall and reinstall the mouse driver to get it working again.

any one know what is causing this and if i can stop it from happening?

If it's a Microsoft Mouse, then make sure you have the latest version of Inteli Mouse installed. Then, under the Start menu, Run, type in msconfig. Make sure that under the 'Startup' tab, that the mouse software is checked.

i was told to get a different driver so i did, and the problem went away.

that msconfig is quite handy. i've been wondering where that went since win98.
