Every time report runs, it is creating a new re-occurring instance.

Usually there should be 1 scheduled reoccurring instance for one report, for some reason, there are now over 200 reoccurring instances and a handful of successes. Unfortunately, this is true of all reports scheduled to run at an interval.This was not the case before!.
Thanks,

Explain "Every time report runs" ? Is this that a user is running and everytime they run it, it creates a recurring scheduled report? Or, it is already a scheduled report, that when is triggered, it creates another scheduled instance of itself along with the predefined instance type (e.g., pdf, rpt, xls, etc.). ??

In any of the cases above, that is something I have never come across or even heard of...

It is a schedlued report, it runs every 1 hr as .rpt

Hi,
Each time it runs ( once an hour) it creates an instance, either sucessful or failure..you can specify how many older instances are kept in the CMC ..

It is a setting ( by Folder) of how many old ones to keep;

Well as of now it is maintianing from 11/29 and it is 338 instances.
I did see the option of "Limit" after N instances in the history tab but not sure all of a sudden it has started doing this for every report on there, so wondering is there any centralised control for this.

Thnaks a lot
