Every Job Is Queued 1

Hello,

Every task I ask Veritas to perform automatically goes to a queued status and never runs. I have rebooted the server,stopped and started all Backup Exec services and switched off the tape device but still the same problem.

Veritas ver. 8.60 rev 3808
Dell Power Vault 110 T LTO tape unit
HP LH4 Netserver with Win2K SP3

All stopped working 5 days ago no problems before, any help appreciated

Do the jobs never try to run? Or are they "On Hold" or "Pending"? Anything interesting in the Event Viewer during these 5 days?

Hello Neil,

had a similar problem and could fix it with build 3878.

You might want to apply the pre-3878 hotfixes too if your problem still persists.

Thanks Guys for the help, but sometimes the simplest of mistakes can happen, I noticed on the Devices page, the server name had been "paused", something which can easily be missed. I don’t know how this happened or what caused it, maybe it was a dyslexic mouse.

Something to look out for if you encounter the "queued" problem.
