My bootup has been slowed by applications that are getting errors.
System Log:
Service Control Manager event 7023
SMTPSVC event 116
W3SVC event 116
Service Control Manager event 7022
Application Log:
W3Ctrs event 1003
IISInfoCtrs event 1003
FTPCRS event 1000
After viewing google for any explaination, and with a seach on this site, I've not found any help to correct this problem.
My browser was hijacked earlier this month, however, I've since disinfected the problem with F-Secure anti-virus.
I've tried to edit my services that are being installed. NOTHING
I thought it was possibly a bad sector on my HD, so did a ScanDisc in DOS and rebooted.
chkdsk /r
I did have 1 bad sector, this was corrected but still have the problem.
I'm at my wits end.
Any suggestions?
