My bootup has been slowed by applications that are getting errors.
System Log:
Service Control Manager event 7023
SMTPSVC event 116
W3SVC event 116
Service Control Manager event 7022

Application Log:
W3Ctrs event 1003
IISInfoCtrs event 1003
FTPCRS event 1000

After viewing google for any explaination, and with a seach on this site, I've not found any help to correct this problem.

My browser was hijacked earlier this month, however, I've since disinfected the problem with F-Secure anti-virus.

I've tried to edit my services that are being installed. NOTHING

I thought it was possibly a bad sector on my HD, so did a ScanDisc in DOS and rebooted.
chkdsk /r
I did have 1 bad sector, this was corrected but still have the problem.

I'm at my wits end.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Lemon,

explaination of the error didn't help much. Just said "Specified Session can not be found" and "Specified Session Name is already in use" for 7023 and 7022 concurrently. No explaination for 116 at all.

Appreciate the effort, and the utility will come in handy in the future.

Thanks Lemon
This problem has been giving me fits for 2 weeks.

I didn't understand why the Web Pub and FTP Publisher causing so much grief....I don't use them.

They weren't started in the System Services, but were set to Manual. I guess thats what made the difference because when I disabled them and reboot, Event Log didn't have any errors.

I wish I could give you more then 1 star at a time...rofl

Been fixin these things for 20 years and still haven't learned that most things are simple to fix, I just make it hard!!!
