Event notification

Hi. I am wanting a computer on the network to be notified when a backup job has failed. I am using 'Net Send Message' but am having trouble targeting a computer. The manual goes into no detail about this and I am stuck.

Any suggestions

NET HELP SEND may be useful

Syntax should be something like
NET SEND <COMPUTER NAME> MESSAGE

For example, my computer name is socrates
NET SEND SOCRATES HELLO

works like a charm!

I had the same problem, but found out what the problem was.
BE8.5 is on a W2K server. Sending messages to W2K pc went OK, but when I'm sending to a NT4.0 pc it doesn't work.
