Good afternoon to all tek-tippers,

I continue to receive an error event id 8021 from one of my servers located in a child domain. Below you will find the results I received after running browstat status. I was wondering should my MasterBrowser also see itself as a backup browser and also the server from which I am receiving the event id from is not listed as a backup browser. How can I make it a backup browser. Could it be the reason I am getting that event id generated on the server is because it is not listed?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

itsp1965,

Yes I have and nothing there seems to be what is happening to me. I did find a Micrososft Article saying that it is not a serious issue. I am not worried of the error event id, I am just wondering why it started all of a sudden. I have not done any changees on the Network. Well I will keep trying to find a solution. Once I do I will make sure to post it here.

Thanks again,

Erick
