Does anyone have suggestions on how to search for information about errors in the Win 2000 event viewer? I'm getting Event ID: 26, 7000, 1001, 64, and 1 on a couple of our desktops, and I don't know where to go to find out what they mean. I have searched on Microsoft's site in the Searchable Knowledge Base, but I don't find anything to match. Does anyone have a suggestion for translating these errors?

Thanks for the help.

Event IDs can have different meanings depending on the OS version. Here are some POSSIBLE (may not apply here, but who knows)

Event ID 26 could have something to do with your swap file too small. (not sure)

Event ID 1 May have to do with tape drive libraries (Do these system have tape backups?

Event ID 7000 could be a non functioning network card or faulty network card.

Event ID 101 Could be that the World Wide Web Publishing service could not create a virtual root for the IIS Virtual Root resource. The directory path may have been deleted.

Event ID 64 Is probebly due to the fact that the Win2K pro machine cannot synchronization time with the Win2K domain.

Are you running a Win2K domain? These ID have have replied with are ONLY an area to get started. As I have stated they may mean different things depending on how you are setup and which OS it may apply to.
