Event ID 2004

when first login in my system in the morning I keep getting this error before getting my login script.

Install
Could not initialize installation. System DLLs corrupt or missing. Access is denied.


In the event views I got this error:
Source: PerfNet

Unable to open the Server service. Server performance data will not be returned. Error code returned is in data DWORD
0.

Any input would be appreciated.
ps. using Windows 2000 sp3

Sidd, I had the same warning until I changes "workstation" fron auto to man in Services (Start/Run/services.msc). I wasn't running any service that required workstation. Try it. You can always change back to auto.

I discovered that my main problem wasn't with the "PerfNet"

I'm going to post this question again with all the details since I wasn't clear the first time.

ps. Thanks for clarifying the "PerfNet" error thought.
