I keep getting these events in our cluster. Though I have checked and do have a fwd and reverse address entry in DNS. I keep geting these event on our 3 virtual ip address/Names in the cluster. I can't seem find a fix yet. Anybody else see this let me know and the work around/fix.

We did a netdiag and this is warning we got

[WARNING] At least one of the <00> 'Workstation Service', <03> 'Messenger Service', <20> 'WINS names is missing.

I did notice a difference between the nodes in the net diag, node2 doesn't have a SERVER-NAME <03> UNIQUE REGISTERED entry.

thanks

I've seen this happen if your DNS server doesn't allow dynamic updates to the zone.

Yeah I read about that, I have it set to allow dynamic updates, but only secure ones. I change to Just Yes allow them. I will see if that is a fix after today.

mdbuddy,

I am having a similar issue. Just wondering if setting dynamic DNS to NonSecure did eliminated these errors you were receiving.

Nope that didn't fix my issue. I read alot of MS artilce and since the machines are on SP2, if we update to SP3 or SP4 the issue will go away.
