event ID: 10009

hi everyone,

Does someone know how to resolve this error message that I always get from the event log:

Source: DCOM
Event ID: 10009
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Description:
"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer xxxxx using any of the configured protocols."


The only thing that I can find on the Microsoft website was this:

Explanation
The network connections might not be configured properly.


User Action
Check the network connections. Check the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Rpc/DCOM_Protocols for the list of Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service protocol sequences.

It doesn't really tell me how to resolve it tho. Can anyone please help?

Have you tried reinstalling your network adapter and reconfiguiring it. This alot of time will fix the network error.

is this an iis server and does it talk to a COM+ server?
