Evaluation Software for Warehousing or Mining

Hi All,
I would like to do a case study on warehousing and Data mining. I want to know where I can get evaluation software product for this ?. Basically It should be possible to integrate with SQL Server or IBM DB2 UDB?. Also it should be possible to integrate VB, C#, Programs with the product?
Please kindly give me your suggestions

For the database: Get the 90 day trial of SQL Server (if you don't have it already.) Install the Analysis services modual, it is easy to use, fast and very efficient. It also comes with 2 data mining moduals and you can program others. If you have excel 2002 you can connect right to it.
For the software: I use Crystal Analysis. I think it is easy to use and if you get Crystal Enterprise you can publish it to the web. Crystal Enterprise serves both Crystal Reports and Crystal Analysis Olap pages. It is a fairly comprehensive package. You can order the free evaluation from the old seagate company now called crystal decisions.

The only real disadvantage I see with this is their licensing for crystal enterprise is very customer unfriendly.

For the software:
I use Ariacom Business Reports which has the advantage to be free in its client/server version !
the product generates dynamic SQL based on a metadata definition.
