Eudora - Import to Outlook - HTML formatting appearing

I have a need to import Eudora emails into Outlook so the user can use Outlook instead. I found that I must import to Outlook Express first, then to the regular Outlook or there are dates become messy in places (this was found in a tech article). When the data is imported to Outlook Express, many of the emails have html tags all through them. There are 14,000 important emails to bring into Outlook (a publisher uses them and they are constantly referenced and the user says it is too hard to sift through the tags when trying to read them - much of her daily job involves the emails). Is there a way to convert all the emails in Eudora somehow so when they are imported there will be no HTML tags present??

I'm struggling with this as well. I'm running Eudora Pro and Outlook 2000.

The date issue was addressed (for me) as follows:

1) Import Eudora into Outlook Express (OE)
2) EXPORT Outlook Express to Outlook. (importing into
Outlook from OE didn't work)
3) I still had problems with dates on sent items but
managed to get this to work - I think I had to go back
and specifically import/export the Eudora "Out" box.

I'm still struggling with the HTML tags appearing. MS knowledge base says that a Meta tag is missing and that this cannot be fixed by Outlook. I have seen some utilities that act to strip the HTML stuff out:

Haven't tried this, but I would prefer to fix the e-mail so it will display as intended.

Surely someone somewhere has written a little VBA macro that can address this.
