v3.0.59, cannot get 5420 to see the eu24, and it also holds the button programming from a previous site it was installed at, the eu24 that is

stupid question but do you have the power pack for it?. Sometimes takes a little while for EU24 to start working

Yes, line into psu, psu into phone, eu24 into eu24 port on phone

Have you rebooted the IPO since attaching the EU24 ? I have had to do this at a few sites to get it to be seen by the connected extension. Buttons will start from Digital Telephony 25, on the connected 5420 extension.

Umm anotherprivatebuild !!!

I had to delete and reinstall the user before it started to work for several installs ( 3.0.59 )

Are you using a CAT5 lead from phone to power supply and CAT5 from power to wall socket. We had the same issue did this and worked ok after.

Line from the ipo is single pair, how does cat 5 make a diff? As the eu24 holds any previous programming in its own memory there must be something that causes it to erase itself and associate with a new ext....???

The power is injected on a second pair. A single pair wire from the 1151B1 (or other power supply) will not provide power. Using a single pair cord from the power supply to the phone is no different than unplugging the power supply all together

I said line from IPO not line from psu to phone, it is cabled correctly.

I had a similiar issue, I have no idea why this worked, but it did.
disconnect the ext and the psu totally.
reboot
plug in the equip., if it does not work, plug the equip, in a different order.

I do not recall which was plugged in first, but it did start working.

Hope it helps, and I really do not know exactly what was the deciding factor which made it work, but it did.

That is the key factor isn't it, lol. I could act like I am the guru, but I save that for the customers.
oh, and the boss.

Problem solved, need to cycle the power on the ipo main unit to clear the nvram, I guess it is, in the eu24, if you dont you can take the eu24 to another site , connect to an ext and it will show programming from last site, unplug the main unit and this seems to clear the memory and allow it to associate itself with the new ext's button assignments

becareful of eu24s on IP office theres a maximum of 2 per unit supported by Avaya

sometimes do a full power of to get it to work
