I have a printer connected to a WinNT 4 Server. I've installed Microsoft TCP/IP Printing Service on that server to allow UNIX workstations to print on this printer. It's working fine. So I just want to know if it's possible to allow/deny hosts from printing using the LPD service (like the /etc/hosts.lpd file for UNIX).

Thank you

Right click on the printer and choose properties. Go to security. That should set permissions across the board.

The Microsoft TCP/IP Printing (LPD) service runs in the System account. I can deny ALL hosts using the LPD service from printing by specifying “No Access” for the system account. But how can I allow only a few specific UNIX host to print on this printer?
