I have Win 2000 Server on 6 comps in an internet cafe - just building up another six and can't find the cd case. How can I get the CD Key from one of the computers it is already installed on?
I know it was easy in Windows 95/98 - but 2000 seems to want to keep it hidden.

Do you have licenses for all 6 Server installations? If so call MS Support. If not, no help here. You need to be careful how you write your posts... It didn't come across well for me, and I'm sure others are looking at it and wondering the same thing. The way it was phrased is as if you are installing one licensed version on 6 PC's, That's not something to post on a public forum.

Just Friendly Advice, not a flame or meant to anger you.

No, having unlicensed software in a public internet shop is not a smart idea. I understand your reluctance and no offense taken.
My problem is that my boss is in Europe for 2 months and I need these computers going yesterday. Is it possible to get the 'registration number' off the computer then. MS Support want $200+GST otherwise.
