ESS Takeover - Forced Failover

Aura CM 7.1.3

I have two sites. One runs the main CM procr; the other is the ESS.

The main site is being shut down to replace the main power breaker. I need to failover to the ESS, but don't know how to do that manually.

Can anyone provide the steps to manually failover to the ESS and then go back to the main procr when maintenance is done?

You do a get forced-takeover. It's pretty straight forward. For some system checks you can do look at this other thread

I would just shutdown the main CM servers. Then let the survivable core take over on its own.

Thanks for the responses. I've considered both options, but haven't done either. Just wanted to get some feedback on how others do it.
