Can someone tell me simply if we have a S5800 Media Server/ (5) 650 Gateways at our main site and two remote sites both with CM4 S8500 ESS/(2) G650 Gateway. If our main site was to let's say blown up, or be flooded under water, equipment completely destroyed. Could I route calls directed to our main site to one or both of the remote site? And where can I find simple documentation to support this and how it's done? The powers that be want this for our Disaster Recovery Plan. Also if doable...can we test it without service interuption. Any info will be much appreciated.

The remote sites would remain in service as they have ESS.
Your telco provider could re-route the calls from your main location to the trunks at your remote sites.

Rock on, be strong... SG
APDS UC, APDS CC, ACE IP Telephony

Routing you calls is upto your carrier, if it 8xx traffic, and you have T-1 from the same carrier, then this is normal very easy a quick. If the T-1 are from different carriers then things can be a little more complicated. You would need to check with both and see how they can help you out.

One of the ESS can take over overall control of the phone network.

If you want move DID number that again is something you will need to get with your carrier and find out what the process is, how long it takes them, and what fees they charge.
