Hello all,
I have an S8510 as the main call controller with G650 cabinets in the same rack. There are several G430 gateways that all register to CLANs in those G650's.
There is also an S8510 ESS but this is a colo and there are no G650's in that facility. In the MGC list of the G430s I have the PE port on ESS server as the second or third option. The mg-recovery rule is set on the media gateway to return to the main automatically if there are no active calls for three minutes. This is how I would set it up with an LSP but does that not work in the ESS model?
There was a WAN outage to the main site so the media gateway registered to the ESS. The problem is that when the WAN had recovered, the gateway was still registered to the ESS, but no phones were registered to it and the ESS was not controlling any IPSIs.
The Main server is running 5.2.0 and the ESS is running 5.2.1 software.
Is this a bug, a fluke or is there something that I need to tweek in the configuration to make things work properly?
