Does anyone know of a simple (not simple to a programmer, but simple to a simpleton) way to convert an ArcGIS .gdb directory to shapefiles? I've been given all kinds of answers to this, and every answer so far looks like I need a lesson in programming. I just need a simple program that asks for a file name and what format I want it converted to.
I am using AutoCad Map 2013 and can find no way to get a gdb format into AutoCad Map. The subscription advantage pack had a converter in 2011, but it doesn't seem work with 2013.
Thanks,
Tim

You should be able to use the ogr2ogr application.
Download and install osgeo4w from when you install it go to the advanced tab and make sure you install gdal-filegdb: OGR FileGDB Driver (There are details and screen shots here You should then be able to type
Code:
ogr2ogr out_shp my_pgdb.gdb

I can't test this myself as I'm at work and can't install anything on my machine, but let me know how you go on.

We could be confused in exactly the same way, but confusion might be like Nulls, and not comparable.
