ESRI gdb format

Does anyone know of a simple (not simple to a programmer, but simple to a simpleton) way to convert an ArcGIS .gdb directory to shapefiles? I've been given all kinds of answers to this, and every answer so far looks like I need a lesson in programming. I just need a simple program that asks for a file name and what format I want it converted to.
I am using AutoCad Map 2013 and can find no way to get a gdb format into AutoCad Map. The subscription advantage pack had a converter in 2011, but it doesn't seem work with 2013.

You should be able to use the ogr2ogr application.
Download and install osgeo4w from

http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/

when you install it go to the advanced tab and make sure you install gdal-filegdb: OGR FileGDB Driver (There are details and screen shots here

You should then be able to type

ogr2ogr out_shp my_pgdb.gdb
