Hello,

Someone has already tested the version 5.0.0.1 on ERS8610 with HA-CPU.
I have upgraded 5 ERS to this version and I have starnge log error messages:

------------------------------------------------------------

CPU5 [11/03/08 07:25:52] HW WARNING framework_restart: lost connection to Standby CPU, heartbeat_ticks = -26

This message appears on 4 ERS with HA-CPU. They are in nfull-mesh SMLT. The ERS connected in SMLT to a cluster doesn't have this message (configuerd L2 basic)

Thank you

I haven't had a chance to play with 5.0 software yet. Perhaps someone here has had the opportunity and will respond.

I'm running 5.0.0.1 on 3 boxes, but am not running HA mode.

Only issue so far is a one-time lane lockup on one of my RS-blades (lost left 12 ports of a combo blade). This seems to be a issue with R-blades but the sort-of-fix in 4.x version of code hasn't been merged into the 5.0 code yet - supposedly will be in the next release in December...I hope.

We have disabled HA mode and it looks ok now.
Thank you

I believe 5.1 software is due sometime in the next few months and it promises a lot of the fixes that are going to be released in 4.1.8 software (also due in the next few weeks).

Hi NARBE,

I do NOT recommend an 5.0.0.1 upgrade now, since i found some bugs on it, causing some broadcast storms in your network. Stay on 4.1 release.

Unfortunately, if you want to use any of the new RS blades, you will have to have 5.0.0.1 software.
