I have some ERS 4800 switches running 5.8.0.004 and 5.9.2.046 and on these switches, I have some computers which continually will get "No logon servers available" even though the machine is on the network, and is reachable via ping. Usually physically disconnecting the network cable or bouncing the port will resolve the issue. Has anyone else run into this, or a similar issue? I have been banging my head against the wall trying to come up with an explanation. The machines are Lenovo M92P. I don't recall this issue happening on the 5.8 code, but people can't give me a definitive answer as to when the problem started of course. I needed to upgrade to 5.8 to fix a PoE issue, so rolling back isn't an option.
A little additional testing/information. The machines are frozen with DeepFreeze, so that after every restart they are as if they were just imaged. We are using APR inspection and DHCP Snooping on the VLan those machines are on. If I trust the ports for ARP inspection, they appear to work just fine, even though the machines aren't statically addressed.
