On Aix 4.3.3 is there an error report deamon that will notify me via email is an entry has been added to the errpt?

Hmm, do I have any other options? I rather not play with the ODM especially on an unsupported server.

Don't be afraid of the ODM, just back up the files and be careful when manipulating them.

Check out faq52-2445 under FAQs. This is a script that does what you want. I use this for errpt notification via email and it works great!
