Errors deleting hdisk from old SSA Disks

We have an old test node running 4.3.3 and we want to use it for testing. Problem is we've physically removed all the ssa disks about 8 months ago and I'd like to do some cleanup. There are old vg's out there, old hdisks, etc.
When I try to delete an old volume group, I get:
0516-010 lqueryvg: Volume group must be varied on; use varyonvg command.
0516-882 reducevg: Unable to reduce volume group.
when I try to varyonvg:
/home # varyonvg albdbvg
PV Status: hdisk17 00010477748ac9f5 PVNOTFND
0516-013 varyonvg: The volume group cannot be varied on because there are no good copies of the descriptor area.

How can I clean this up?

Have you looked at exportvg

That did it.
Even though the varyoffvg gave me warnings, I could then run exportvg and it worked.
