Hi Folks

Please help.

All of a sudden, without any changes on the box that I am aware of, one of my servers is getting the following error. I have checked file permissions but this is the same as other servers that are not seeing this problem.

The directory is only 82% full so space is not an issue. There is very little information about this error and would be grateful someone here has seen it before and can share how it was resolved.

05/08/08 16:58:45 ANR8551E An error (-1) occurred during a write operation.(SESSION: 134819)
05/08/08 16:58:45 ANR9902W Attention -- Accounting records could not be written to the file: dsmaccnt.log. (SESSION: 134819)

Many thanks in advance

As 'probablydown' mention are there any file size limitation set via the os.

Is the file set to 'readonly'?

-Sias

The effective limits (in /etc/security/limits)are :
default:
fsize = -1
core = 2097151
cpu = -1
data = 262144
rss = 65536
stack = 65536
nofiles = 2000

the file size and permission is
-rw-r----- 1 root system 2147483647 Apr 14 21:54 dsmaccnt.log

I am thinking of setting data = -1 but I will have to bounce TSM to pick up the new values.

Regards
