recently reloaded windows 98 due to missing file psapi.dll
this caused windows to hang mid boot up. now windows boots but displays the following error
"Error In c:\windows\system\mmsystem.dll"
Missing Entry
Anyone have any ideas?
cheers Stevieb3

You need to re-install the sound drivers for your system hardware. That should fix the problem.

Thanks Traycee Have removed "sound and vidio controllers" and modem from device manager and reinstalled from scratch but still get same error on boot up?

All info indicates a missing command in your system.ini file. Suggestion to repair is open your system.ini file with a text program (Notepad etc.), and add the following line:
drivers=mmsystem.dll

Save and reboot.
