Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

are you running 32 or 64 bit? Check if your app must run on 32 or 64 platform

rgds,

You might want to send the logs to the vendor's support group. Check to see if the version you are using is supported on that version of AIX you are running and if there are any issues with the vfersion of JAVA you have installed.

Most 32 bit programs will install and run on a 64 bit machine. The reverse is not true.

I have the product installation manual. The requirements for installation are AIX 5.1,JDK 1.3.1 and 64 bit kernal. Our AIX admin confirmed that our AIX platform is meeting these requirements.

Unfortunately, the product vendor says that they have limitations in supporting their product with AIX.Given below is what they say:

"the native library that is throwing an error for not been loaded or accessible to the installation routine is 'libMAInst'.

We may not be able to help you with setting environmental variables on AIX due to our limitations in technical support. I would suggest you to discuss the issue with your AIX admins to help you around with this issue."

Thanks.

Perhaps you need to set/modify LIBPATH so that the install programs know where to find all your runtime libraries, including the new ones?

Why buy a program to run on AIX when the vendor has issues supporting that OS?
I would have asked about support before the purchase.

Great test before signing on the dotted line:
Ask the salesperson if you can call the support group and ask a question about the product. If the saleperson faints, don't buy :)
