Hi!

I´ve experienced troubles when I connect
my IE 6.0.2800.1106 to a Windows 2000 Terminal Services Web Connection. The IE returns the following error:
"The object does not support the property or the metod,
MsTscServer".
The security configuration of my IE allows automatic download of ActiveX components, but this not works in this situation.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Check your Event viewer and post your id's. That can give a greater insight to your problem.

Hi, Blutch!

Can you help me to do this job, step by step?
Thanks.

Jack.

Start - Settings - Control Panel
Administrative tools
Log books
Application and System log book

Red crosses - give the event id when you have double clicked on them

Thanks Blutch !

But I didn´t found nothing about this event or this error.
Looks like me this error is occuring in my IE and not
in the W2K server.
When I try the same connection in other desktops on my
network, its starts an on-demand installation of an
ActiveX component that supports the Terminal Services,
but, once more time, this not works in my destop.

Thanks anyway !

Check to make sure you have the latest version of TSAC. You can get it a the Microsoft Windows 200 website under the downloads section. It sounds like the ActiveX component is not installing or you are using a version which IE 6.0 does not like. On the client check in the folder \%systemroot%\Downloaded Program Files\ for the Microsoft RDP Client Control (redist) file. If you have any other file like Microsoft Terminal Services client in there. You have an old incompatible version. Right click and remove that file. Update the TSAC on the webserver. And try to reconnect.

Hope this helps.
