Error when trying to load Service pack in Linux 7.5

I have installed the 3 prerequisite patches on a CPDC sig server. I downloaded the service pack and changed it to an "NTL" extension. When I try to upload it thru UCM patch mgmt I get an error of "The SP or Deplist file upload operation failed because of ZIP integrity! The file is invalid or corrupted" I tried to upload an older Service pack I had used in the past and get the same error message. Has anyone else had this trouble??
I noticed on avaya's site they mention that Jboss-Quantum 7.50.17.16-10.i386 might fix the issue but of course I can't find it for the life of me!!! Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

Have you deployed yet? You need to deploy prior to installing the SP. The newest version of JBoss is cs1000-Jboss-Quantum-7.50.17.16-28.i386.000. Why would you use an older version if you have in fact downloaded the latest Base Patches and SP?

I tried to upload the older SP justr as a test since i knew it wasn't invald since I had used it before. i wasn't going to install it, just see if it would upload.
When I was in training i was told to load the SP, then deploy, then load the SP again and it would install additional patches as reuired depending on what apps were deployed. I have done all my 7.5 systems that way with no issues before...

No reason to do the SP twice. Always do it after deployment.

yep, it even says so in the SU PDF info if you go to NOTEs section

SU's are applied only if apps are deployed, and reapplied after again only if NEW apps are added....

This is a big hang up for me.

I load in the following order:

1. Linux OS
2. SFTP Service Pack over to the server. dump to /var/opt/nortel/patch/sp
3. spload Service_Pack.zip (using full name of course)
4. spins
5. Reboot Sig Server
5. Register to System Manger if a Member Server
6. Load Applications
7. Reboot Srever
8. SFTP Service Pack over to the server.
9. spload Service_Pack.zip
10. spins
11. Reboot

The three patches that they want you to load are Linux patches for the server, but the Service Pack will load up to 13 patches on the first load. These are patches that help with the server. I have been online with GNTS and this is their method of deployment, but not something they publish

The Service Pack will only load patches that the server needs. It won't load all the patches. I have become comfortable doing this command line, and love the fact that I can watch the status of the patch load. Once the applications are deployed you will see the Service Pack skip the patches you initially installed and again will only load those patches that are required for the apps that you loaded.

It says right on the ESPL page to install the 3 base patches prior to installing the SP. So if you think about it then it really makes sense.

1. Load the Linus OS and reboot
2. Install the 3 Base patches and reboot
3. Deploy Applications to each individual Server and reboot
4. Install the SP and it will apply the patches out of the SP that it needs based on the Apps. deployed on that server and reboot

I think it all depends on who you talk to at Nortel because you get different answers depending on the engineer you talk to. Their support really sucks lately. My support people say with 7.5 to install the SP via Patch Manager but if you talk to someone at Nortel they will tell you different things. I say what ever works for you, unless it doesn't work for you. But, there is absolutely no reason to do the SP twice.
