Hi all!

I am getting an error message "change system programming port to an extension before restoring" when I try to restore a Merlin Legend. The processor was fried when a new circuit pack card was put in while the system was running. And now we are trying to restore the flash card to a new processor. Anyone run accross this error message before?

Thanks all!

This means that the system was previously set up with a different extension than the 1st on as the Programming Port.

Any 1 of the 1st 5 proprietary ports can be the admin port.

So, before you do your restore, you gotta' change the Programming Port, just like it's telling you.

Problem is, you don't know which one it is, so you may have to experiment.

Thanks for your help Merlinman! We discovered it was a bad processor card and a bad Flash card. What are the odds?

Phenominal - Rarley seen either as bad.

Would love to try to fix 'em.
