Hi there…

I am trying to add an XP Pro workstation to a Win 2K server and I get the “Network path not found” error.

From my workstation –the one I’m trying to add-, I can ping the server either by IP or by name. I can “Map Network Drive” to any other workstation within the domain except for the server.

In the network, there are some machines that have Win 2K OS as wells as XP Pro.

Do you guys have any idea on how to solve this? I’m going to appreciate your help!!

does the pc get its dns settings from DHCP, or it is manual?

check to make sur it is the right dns server setup in tcpip settings.

Aftertaf,

Thanks for your replay!
Yes it is getting the dns settings from DHCP.
Any other thoughts?
