Error when accessing components in the System package. (80040154)

When accessing Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) via the MMC the following error occurs: <br><br>An error occurred accessing components in the System package on this computer. Error code was 80040154. Make sure that:<br><br>+ Microsoft Transaction Server is installed correctly.<br>+ If you have set a specific identity for the system package, check that the user account and password are correct, and user is a member of the local NT Administrators group.<br><br>The only option is an OK button that returns to the MMC. <br><br>On Microsoft knowledge base I found :<br><br>CAUSE<br>This problem is caused by the catalog object not being registered correctly. <br><br>RESOLUTION<br>To resolve the problem, re-register the catalog object, Mtxcatex.dll, by running regsvr32.exe as in the following example: <br><br>regsvr32.exe C:\winnt\system32\mts\mtxcatex.dll <br><br>This solution doesn't help me.<br>The problem stays.<br><br>Anybody can help ?<br><br>Thanks.

I forgot something ...<br><br>I don't get the error when accessing components on the same server.<br>Only when accessing another server on the network.<br>(I have the access permissions to that server)

The issue may in fact be the identity assigned to the package in question.&nbsp;&nbsp;By default MTS packages are assigned an identity of Interactive User.&nbsp;&nbsp;This means that the identity of the user who is logged onto that server is used to access components within the package.&nbsp;&nbsp;Your two options in this situation are 1. Logon to the network as a user with NT Admin rights or 2. Create a user in the domain who has NT Admin rights (This user would be just for MTS) and reassign the identity of the MTS package to that user.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hope this helps.

Change the activation of system package to Library Package, from Server Package.<br>(This is a problem basically with Terminal Server Setup 4.0)
