Hi
I have a BCM50 System, I can upload the music files to it but cannot update the play list. It gives the error message: "Playlist ADD failure: list output error - Update cancelled"
I tried from different machines, different version of browsers, no luck.

If anybody has experienced this issue, please share it with me. If there is any patch to solve this kindly share.

Thanks

Are you currently using the BCM as a MOH source? That does sound like a patch issue so you should make sure your system has the latest patches installed.

Yes, I am using BCM as MOH source. My system version is BCM Rel. 2 (2.0.2.05e. How can I get the patches? Nortel website is not helpful for end users. Anybody can provide me a source for the patches of this system?

I appreciate your helps.

You need to have a Nortel-accredited vendor download and install the patches. Are you on a maintenance program with a vendor?

Thanks for that, How can i reach a web based support person? Also, i am not sure this problem is an update issue. I have other BCM systems with same version, MOH running and i can add/delete play list without any issue.

Thanks

I have seen a post in the Nortel community also, probably yours, but nobody replied. I wish a nortel authority replied to that post.

Please update me anything turned out, I have already talked with my reseller and he promised me contacting me after reaching the vendor, may take time.

Rgds

It was a patch issue. After installed the latest patches from BCM provider, it did work. Thanks to all of you.

My colleague and myself had this issue with a customer who had many BCM 400 V4 and a FEW BCM 50 systems around the country. They used the same music file for all sites. One site however, would upload OK, but wouldn't play.

What we did in the end, was to use another music track ourselves (A popular Eddie Cochran track!) that was saved using a program called "Magic Audio Converter" and the track started playing OK over one of the ACD Agents background phones that we had forgot to cancel!.

Anyway, since we knew that it was working now OK, we then looked at the customers original music file again and tried saving it in different formats. We loaded the track in and one of the formats selected did the trick.

We reckon that there must have been a codec issue, even though the same file was used on many BCM sites.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks firebird for your comment. The codec issue might be cleared in the new patches, thats why it worked for me.
