Error: "The handle is invalid"

When attempting to open NetAdmin or APC SmartUPS software from a client PC I receive the following error:<br>

&quot;The handle is invalid&quot;<br>
<br>
However, once in a while it will open just fine. It seems to only be happening from one PC [Win95c] on the network. Others seem to open/run just fine. All PCs are Win95c - running on new HP Brios.<br>
<br>
Network is: Novell 4.2 (sp6) - Client 3.1<br>
<br>
Has anyone seen this error before? <br>

What Novell Client are you using on this P.C. ? Try updating client32 to 3.2 or 3.1e w/ service pack. We have found that when we upgraded to Client32 3.1e we had the same problem. When we applied the service pack, it fixed the problem. Ver. 3.2 is better

This might not be relevent at all but I have come across this on Win 95 clients - but it was the result of McAffee antivirus software. We upgraded all our clients to version 4 and as soon as they had finished and re-booted after installation they could no longer open files anywhere other than their local HDs. McAffee produced a service pack to resolve this. It might worth checking to see if the antivirus software (if any - if not ignore this!!) is causing the problem.

Thanks for the feedback. Updated the client and removed McAffee. Everything seems to be fine.<br>
