error starting program 1

I keep getting an "Error Starting Program" error during boot up, but it doesn't seem to affect the system negatively. The error : A required .DLL file OSCRES.DLL, was not found. I can't locate any reference to this file in the registry. Any ideas on how I can get rid of this error?

Appears to be related to AOL IM (AIM). May wish to reinstall to correct for missing file.

That file is part of AIM (AOL's Instant Messenger) and Netscape Communicator.

If you are using either of these on that machine, you might try reinstalling them.

It is possible that someone did install it at one
point and then did not uninstall properly, but simply deleted the program folder instead. In that case, you have two options:

(1) Reinstall the program and then uninstall it properly, or
(2) try to find the reference to that file (possibly in system.ini) and comment it out.

reinstalling seems to have done the trick... However, if I uninstall, I get an error on oscore.dll, so I just left it installed on my system.

I need to find oscres.dll if any of you know the URL where I can download it would be greatly appreciated. I looked all over and cannot find that file on the internet or on my computer
