Error starting Netshield after fres

Error starting Netshield after fresh install of W2k DC. Cannot start the McShield service and gives error Event ID 1067 and 7031 in Event Viewer. I created separate, custom account (per McAfee instructions) under which to run the service. Ironically have 3 other servers running same OS and software...its just this one that fails.

Anyone,anyone?

I had the same situation with Netshield and a test PDC (WINNT 4.0) I built. I personally installed Macafee prematurely before I installed the service pack (6a) and upgraded the browser. I caught the message from Macafee indicating that it was unable to do auto updates until the version of broswer was upgraded. Granted this is not the same as your situation though I felt I would share my resolution.
You mentioned this is a fresh install of W2K DC, so perhaps the timing of Macafee installation was off? The best suggestion I can provide is to:
1 - Uninstall Macafee
2 - Reboot
3 - Install Macafee
4 - reboot
5 - apply service pack
6 - reboot
7 - apply super dats (upgrading the scan engine to 4160)
8 - attempt dat upgrade. (this should be okay now)

I only built this test NT 4.0 PDC to test upgrading to W2K & active directory.
