error saving illustrator pdf files

After creating an illustrator file saving it to pdf closing out, then reopening the file in illustrator editing it saving it the pdf files are moved/shifted over...very weird and extremely frustrating. Opening the files and doing a save as in illustrator fixes it...but why is it happening in the first place!

anyone have any ideas...yes just save as EVERY time...or dont save after printing

What do you mean by "pdf files are moved/shifted over"? Are you referring to the contents of the PDF files or the PDF files as they appear in your file manager (Finder, Explorer)?
More details would be helpful.

I should have come back...this a wide spread error I have been finding...pdf files not clipping to artboard...

Both your recent topics hint at a corrupted user preference file. I would reset the preferences for the program.
