I am having problems printing for InDesign CS, I keep getting an Adobe Print Engine error, when I try to print. I also unable to export to PDF, are there preferences I can trash to get rid of this problem? I have an Urgent project that needs to be printed, so thank you in advance. I am running Apple Tiger 10.4.11.

It is a 64 page document. Each page is built from a Master Page, that has one linked item, and I have a page number and the placed PDF on each page, each page has a separate PDF. This makes up my InDesign document.

...can you export one page or perhaps just the odd pages as a test?

...process of elimination is where i would start, if you come to page that won't print it is likely the pdf placed is the source of the problem...

I am currently unable to print any pages, I will try the odd pages print.

If you've GOT to get this printed and highest quality is not that important, go to Print and, when you get the OSX print window, select the Save as PDF button at the bottom. You can then print that from Preview or Adobe Reader.

Just a guess, but I'd agree with Apepp that it's most likey caused by one or more of the placed pdfs. I assume you don't have Acrobat Pro

It's either the PDFs or the fonts in the PDF. I would open all the PDFs and save them as EPSs and use the EPSs instead of the PDF.

If you don't have acrobat pro, open the pdfs in illustrator. Then save as eps.
