Error on compacting

Hi,

I compacted a database in Visual Basic 97 and by lack of diskspace the compact was not successful, the original mdb was killed and the new database, where in the compact was occurring, is left.

I renamed the new database, but i can get in it. I get " records can't be read, no read permission on MsysModules2". The client's backup is lost. Any idea whether such a damaged database can be repaired ? I tried yet repair in access 97 and in access 2000, but no go ?

Any idea ?

Hi,
There is a utility from Microsoft called Jetcomp.exe. It is often used as a last resort. Here is a link to the Microsoft Jetcomp download:
